From Jason Reed at WORCS: What a season we have had. Let me start off by saying I am going into my 5th year with WORCS and by far this has been the busiest, yet most exciting of them all.

Knight now heads into the GNCC Series' two month summer break with a solid points lead, although surging FMF Suzuki pilot Josh Strang rode strong again to take a second place finish. The Australian battled Knight's teammate Nathan Kanney hard for the spot, and the duo really picked up the intensity during a fierce last lap battle.

I am writing this letter to regretfully inform my fans, friends, sponsors and race organizations that I will be out of competition for 8-10 weeks. While practicing for the WMA Washougal race, a crazy but not so uncommon accident left me with a fracture to the radius on my right arm (at the wrist joint) and a fracture on the elbow of my left arm. Both my arms will have very limited movement for the next few weeks.

WORCS Racing received this letter from Kurt Caselli this morning

It was announced today that we have lost Rich Caselli to a silent battle with cancer. Most of us know Rich as the father of arguably America's best off road racer (Kurt Caselli) and as a true supporter of our sport.

MDK KTM Factory Lites rider Martin Davalos enjoyed the change in the schedule while also proving that the two-week break prior was just what he needed to get back up to pace. He started an impressive 5th place in Lites moto one, followed closely by his teammates Matt Goerke and Ryan Sipes holding 7th and 8th. The final team member, Justin Brayton, had a much worse start, appearing 28th around the first turn.
