I realize that many of the bikes shown here are not pure off-road machines, but I couldn't resist showing them. And the "roads" that they are often forced to ride on look worse than sections of the Baja 1000. I don't know about you, but I carry a bunch of stuff when I go trail riding: a fanny pack with tools, a tow rope, an assortment of nuts and bolts, matches, a couple of chain links, a spare throttle cable and a CO2 flat fix kit. Sounds like a lot, but it pales in comparison to some of the stuff the riders shown here tote around. In a bunch of countries around the world, people can't afford a car or truck, and make do with what they've got. This means that little 100 and 125cc dual purpose bikes get pressed into duty far beyond what the engineers thought they would be subjected to. Take a look and gasp.
