Page OnePage Two - The Installation Process
The following photo-illustrated installation showcases a DH1 upper triple clamp and a GPR stabilizer. Installation is relatively quick and painless, taking approximately 35 minutes.
First off, remove the front number plate, each component which is connected to the handlebars (clutch, kill switch, front brake assembly, etc), and the handlebars themselves. Next remove the handlebar mounts.
Now remove the upper triple clamp to make way for the GPR bolt on collar.
Drop the GPR bolt-on collar in place as shown. Tighten the allen bolt toward the front of the steering head, then tighten the small allen-head inserts. It is very important to use a thread locking sealent on the small allen inserts.
Now place the DH1 triple clamp in position, with the bar mounts bolted down and ready to go. Slide the throttle housing over the handlebars, then mount the bars and all related components.
Its almost time to bolt on the GPR stabilizer. Install the top bar mount, which as you can see has the bolt holes to accept a Scotts or GPR stabilizer. Adjust bars to desired position.
With the supplied allen bolts, simply bolt down the GPR stabilizer to a snug fit. Obviously, be sure the collar is seated correctly with the stabilizer.
We went a little further with cutting a Factory 909 crossbar pad to provide a little more safety.

HoleshotEndo
  • Provides extended feeling of control though nearly any off-road situation; rocks, whoops, washes, sand, etc.
  • Adjustable on the move with a dial on top
  • Damping can be adjusted from the setting with the most resistance to the lowest resistance with one click
  • Fit and finish is excellent.
  • Great track-side support at numerous races all over the West coast, along with a few select GNCCs.
  • Not just for off-road; device works great for any MX track also.
  • Some people may prefer a stabilizer with a "zero to center" characteristic. This means when the bar returns back to the straight position, there is no resistance in damping; or damping only results in a deflective action. You should just ride both styles to determine which feels best.
  • Not really an "adjust on the fly" device. The dial is difficult to grab and turn while riding aggressively. It forces the rider to slow considerably before making an adjustment (but on the contrary, most riders set the damper to a position and leave it there).
