CRF Exhaust System Shootout

CRF Exhaust System Shootout
Apr 1, 2003

In the past 2 months, we have tested four different exhaust systems. This is a seat of the pants review, as I have no access to a dyno. The four systems tested are the Pro-Circuit T-4 system with all optional end caps, as well as the CHM, Big-Gun, and the HMF pipes. All of these systems with the exception of the HMF are full systems including the header and muffler. Every pipe bolted up with no issues. No jetting was required for any of the pipes with the exception of adjusting the fuel screw to achieve maximum throttle response.

Think your CRF needs more low-end power? You are not alone! Even Honda themselves thought the same thing, that's why for 2003 they redesigned the cam to provide more low-end. White Brothers has created an adjustable cam sprocket to do just this.

Storm Cycles has developed a replacement linkage for your 2002 CRF that mimic's the '03 linkage. Steering is improved to match that of the '03 itself. The Storm unit is a very high quality piece.
