Aug. 28, 2009 By
Murrieta , CA – KTM North America, Inc. and Roland Sands Design are proud to announce the unveiling of two new custom-designed KTM motorcycles which will take place at the Indianapolis MotoGP on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2009.

Saturday, at 11:00am at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway KTM will unveil Sands latest work underneath the canopy of the KTM display truck. The project, which launched in June 2009, was initiated from a partnership with Roland Sands Design and KTM Motorsports to produce two unique machines that outline the versatility of the KTM motorcycles and the artistic creative talent of designer Roland Sands.

Sands, a former AMA 250cc GP Champion, integrated his unique design into both machines. KTM initially brought Sands a KTM 530 EXC and a 450-F and allowed him to work his magic and produce unique, one-of-a-kind motorcycles.

Sands immediately went to work on the KTM 530 EXC which he transformed into a remarkable Café Racer. The 450-F was customized into a light weight, SuperSingle road race machine. Both custom-designed bikes have multiple KTM PowerParts added into the design as well as KTM Factory Service prepared race motors and suspension.
