HUSQVARNA TE 610

Enduro - WR / TE Models

The WR and TE enduro models share many of the new-for-2000 features of their motocross brethren. For 2000, all WR and TE models have a new Sachs shock, precision-cast footpegs, a smooth new throttle assembly, and bigger, stronger—but lighter—hubs attached to new Brembo brake rotors.

The two-stroke enduro bikes were not the only beneficiaries of Husqvarna’s improvement program for 2000. TE 410 and TE 610 four-stroke models wear the same new narrower seat, fenders, side panels, and graphics package as the TC 610 motocrosser.

Both the TE 410 and TE 610 have new Dell‘Orto carburetors, specified for the ability to function in a variety of conditions, while improving the hot-start characteristics and still being easy to maintain. The electrical system is augmented by a new, integrated power distributor and ignition coil to improve the TE’s reliability.

A new 2-into-1 exhaust system has boosted performance and trimmed weight and width from the rear of the bike. Complementing the increased engine performance, are stiffer triple clamps, combined with a steeper rake angle and less trail in the front end for better handling. Four-stroke Competition Models

In addition to the improvements made across the model line, all four-stroke models benefit from the following upgrades:

  • New 2-into-1 exhaust system to reduce the width and weight of the rear of the bike.
  • New Dell’Orto carburetors for improved reliability and easier maintenance, better hot-start characteristics, and optimum operation even in difficult climactic conditions.
  • New ignition power distributor with integrated ignition coil to reduce the number of components in the ignition system and improve reliability.
  • New clutch assembly for smoother clutch action.
  • Reduced trail from 108.2mm to 104.7mm (using a shorter rear shock tie rod) for improved handling characteristics.
  • Shorter shock absorber tie rod (from 128mm to 120mm) for reduced steering rake angle and improved progression.
  • Revised triple clamps to stiffen the fork assembly.
  • New airbox lid and filter frame to reduce the width of the seat area.
  • New gearchange lever.
TE 610
  • Redesigned sidestand with relocated spring to eliminate interference with the kickstart lever.
