Mile-Hi Jeep Club 2011 All-4-Fun Event

Dec. 30, 2010 By Press Release
The Mile-Hi Jeep Club (MHJC) is proud to announce the location and dates for the 2011 All-4-Fun event.  This year is MHJC’s 45th year of providing this event to the off-road community.  The 2011 All-4-Fun event is scheduled for July 30 – August 6, and will be hosted by the town of Salida, CO.  Salida is located in the center of Colorado, near the headwaters of the Arkansas River and surrounded by mountain peaks of 14,000-foot or more than any other county in Colorado.

Mile-Hi Jeep Club is an active, nonprofit organization with approximately 200 vehicle members who practice and promote responsible and safe 4-wheeling.  We are dedicated to helping maintain existing 4-wheel drive roads through our Adopt-A-Road program and by supporting the Blue Ribbon Coalition and the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO).  In addition, MHJC and its members support Stay The Trail and TreadLightly! so future generations of 4-wheeling enthusiasts may enjoy what we have today.

The All-4-Fun event continues to be one of the best family 4-wheeling events in the country, and offers a weeklong family oriented 4-wheeling adventure in the Colorado Rockies.  The 4x4 roads and trails around Salida range in difficulty from easy to difficult with the option of a couple of extreme rated trails.  Wednesday is set aside as a day of relaxation and a time to visit with the exhibiting vendors.  Thursday evening is door prize and raffle night where each paid registered driver has an opportunity to win door prizes provided by the contributing vendors of this event.  The proceeds from the All-4-Fun event allows MHJC to continue making annual contributions to Children’s Hospital's Burn Camp, and to land use projects.  In 2010, the money raised for Children's Hospital alone was about $11,000, and over the past four years the money raised for land use projects has been approximately $22,000.  This allows MHJC to promote the family orientated experience and expand its dedication to the use of off-highway trails now and in the future.

To ensure this year’s event meets MHJC’s criteria to provide an exceptional, quality, family orientated 4-wheeling event, MHJC is requesting your assistance in participating in the 45th All-4-Fun event in Salida, CO.  Vendor participation can range from registration packet stuffers to door prizes to an exhibit booth to sponsoring an event activity.  Some of the manufacturers and vendors that have participated in past All-4-Fun events are Warn Industries, Goodyear, Bestop, Big O Tires, Clemson 4 Wheel Center, Poison Spyder Customs, 4 Wheel Parts, Nemesis Industries, and High Country Performance 4x4.  This is an excellent opportunity for your company to have some of your products and your company’s name in front of a focused audience.  All providers of door prizes and/or registration packet stuffers and exhibitors will be recognized during the event.  In an effort to assist your company in the early planning stages of the 2011 All-4-Fun, we have included a summary of the vendor participation options available.  These have been coordinated with trail difficulty and are included with this letter.  This is for your company’s consideration for budgeting purposes only.  I will be in contact with you during the first quarter of 2011 to discuss your company’s participation level in more detail.

We understand that in these tough times it is difficult to determine if this event is worth your marketing dollars.  Over the past four years the average attendance of those over 18 years old has been 650 each year, and for those under 18 years of age 100 each year.  Even with the economic conditions of the past two years the attendance has been steady with those in attendance from 31 different states and three different countries.  For our sponsors we offer the opportunity to have the sponsor's company logo and web link to the sponsor's website displayed on our All-4-Fun website.  Beginning in January, we see an average of 250,000 visits per month to the MHJC website, and as the All-4-Fun event gets closer the number of hits nearly doubles to 420,000 hits per month.  Half of all the visits to the MHJC website are directed to the All-4-Fun section.  All types of support are needed, and much appreciated.  While we feel you will get the most for your marketing dollar by being a sponsor of the event, we truly understand if you cannot and would simply like to participate as an exhibitor or provider of prizes.  The All-4-Fun Committee will not publish your company’s total participation other than in general terms.  There are five different levels of sponsorships available this year, you can download the options at this link:  Vendor Options Document.

Due to the large demand for the All-4-Fun T-shirts, we have expanded this sponsorship opportunity to all vendors with a maximum of 20 spaces with 10 spaces being for general 4x4 reselling business and 10 spaces for manufacturers.  The deadline for reserving space on the T-shirt is April 15, 2011 with payment required by May 15, 2011.  If payment is not received you will not have your logo on the T-shirt.

If you would like to participate in the 2011 All-4-Fun, but cannot attend the event, we would welcome your company’s support with product to be used as door or raffle prizes during the week.  Items of interest for prizes are requested to be related to 4-wheel drive vehicles, camping, clothing, or any outdoor activity.  Raffle prizes must be the actual product(s) or gift certificate(s) for the full value of the product.  Partial prizes, coupons, etc. requiring the winner to put additional funds forward will only be allowed as door prizes.

If your company's representatives will not be staying on the All-4-Fun property, and if you would like assistance in finding lodging in Salida, please visit http://www.salidachamber.org/visitor.htm.
